Overview of the Program

The aim of the program is to train animal husbandry engineers who, with their knowledge of animal husbandry, natural sciences, agricultural technology and economics are able to perform complex professional, development, innovation and management tasks in sustainable animal product production, processing and sales. They are suitable for performing management tasks in the production and product processing areas, as well as for carrying out specialized authority control, professional management, planning, synthesizing research and innovation activities in the field of animal husbandry. They are prepared to continue their studies in doctoral training.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Animal Husbandry master program are prepared for a wide range of career possibilities within the farm animal husbandry sector in Hungary and in Internationally. They are qualified to take on positions such as:

  • Farm animal farming in private or agricultural enterprises productions
  • Farm animal product processing companies in private or agricultural enterprises productions
  • Project Manager or Consultant in animal husbandry innovation projects
  • Research institutions specializing in agricultural scientific areas
  • Supply Chain in agri-food logistics and processing firms
  • Government agencies focused on animal husbandry in governmental agencies.

Graduates may also choose to establish and operate their own farms, or to continue their academic career by pursuing a PhD or other postgraduate studies in animal husbandry areas or related disciplines.
